The Last Train of Orang Orang Drum Theatre’s Public Performing Arts Project is About to Depart

"In Transit-ion: A Poetic MRT Journey” Celebrates Post-Pandemic Life Through Performing Arts

After eight months, we have completed seven public performances! On 13 November 2021, “In Transit-ion: A Poetic MRT Journey” will usher in the final performance of the year. In addition, from 8 to 12 November, this public art performance will hold open rehearsals at several MRT stations and train carriages, and they welcome all MRT passengers to pause and enjoy the show, to catch a glimpse of the artists’ intimate creative processes.

Co-director Yeo Lyle said: "In the post-pandemic era, we now have a different understanding of life. The creative artists express themselves through performing arts, in attempts to probe heavy topics of existence. Coming to the final “stop” of this project, we hope to use different lenses to examine our current state of life, with the theme "Life as Celebration, Celebration of Life", to toast that we are alive. MRT is like a train of life full of imaginary possibilities. We create unpredictable encounters for the predictable train journey."
